Our first strategic full-time hire in Madeira: a senior engineer who can ship production-grade AI/agent infrastructure and lay the groundwork. Grow into our future Madeira Operations Director. Must be Resident of Madeira. Annual Gross Salary: €34,000 - €36,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
•Ship Core Platform – implement backend APIs, orchestration logic and DevOps pipelines (Python/Go/TypeScript, Docker/K8s)
•Local Technical Leadership – mentor Universidade da Madeira interns; run weekly code reviews and tech talks
•P&L-Aware Delivery – scope work against margin targets; report quarterly cost-versus-revenue for the verticals you touch
•Future Site Lead – within 12–18 months, assume Director status for Madeira operations, satisfying IBC local-management rules
Compensation & Benefits:
•Annual Gross Salary: €34,000 - €36,000 per year
•Equity Package: 0.50% fully-diluted, 4-year vest, 1-year cliff

Requirements
•2+ years full-stack OR platform engineering; solid CI/CD and container orchestration
•Must be resident in Madeira
•Production experience with LLMs/ML (fine-tuning, embeddings, vector DB)

•English fluency; Portuguese conversational (or commitment to learn)
