Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team in Porto office. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining security solutions to protect our organisation’s infrastructure and data. This position requires hands-on expertise with Firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, CheckPoint, Palo Alto), proxy solutions (e.g., Zscaler), Load Balancers/WAF (e.g., F5, NetScaler), as well as a strong understanding of network security, threat management and incident response. Key accountabilities

• Design, deploy and manage security solutions using state of the art technologies to safeguard Euronext networks (DataCentre and offices) and cloud environments.
• Lead security projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational security policies and compliance requirements.
• Participate on infrastructure and business projects to define the most efficient/secure network architectures.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration standards and operational procedures.
• Manage 3rd party suppliers for operational effectiveness and to influence design decisions to ensure maximum business benefit is obtained from the network infrastructure;
• Provide second line support for network infrastructure (Data Centres and offices);
• Collaborate with Infosec, network and application teams to integrate security controls and best practices across the organization.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Your profile

• Engineering Degree;
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in similar functions;
• Understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure;
• Extensive hands-on experience with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), F5 (LTM/ASM), Fortinet (FortiGate /FortiSASE/FortiProxy), Check Point firewalls and/or PaloAlto firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security architectures and secure access solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, VPNs, SSL/TLS, IDS/IPS and web application firewalls.
• Relevant certifications such as Zscaler Certified Professional, F5 Certified Technology Specialist, Fortinet NSE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Network trace analysis skills in critical and complex environments;
• English speaking and writing;
• Change Management process experience (ITIL).
