Senior Software Developer (Java & AWS)

This is your mission

Are you passionate about backend development, cloud-native architectures, and modern engineering practices ? Then this position is for you.

As a Senior Software Developer , you will design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based solutions deployed on AWS cloud environments , contributing to high-value products within an Agile Scrum team. You will play a key role in shaping scalable architectures, mentoring peers, and continuously improving development practices.

Build side:

You will contribute to the design and evolution of backend and cloud solutions:

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java 21, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring Boot Data, and JDBC

• Implement scalable and secure microservices architectures

• Integrate backend services with relational databases (Oracle, Aurora PostgreSQL)

• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless data integration and flows

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

• Apply secure coding standards and architectural best practices

Run side:

You will ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of production systems:

• Deploy and operate applications on AWS (ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch)

• Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution

• Support product teams during releases and production issues

• Contribute to application performance tuning and scalability

• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and sprint objectives

This is your background

You have at least 5 years of experience in demanding backend and cloud development environments .

You enjoy building clean, efficient, and scalable solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving both your technical skills and team practices. You are looking for an environment where engineering excellence, collaboration, and long-term vision matter.

This is your expertise:

Technical skills

• Java 21, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Boot Data, Hibernate, JDBC

• Strong expertise with relational databases

• AWS services: ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch

• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

• Python for scripting, automation, or backend tasks

• RESTful API design and microservices architectures

• Version control tools (GitHub / GitLab)

• CI/CD practices and Agile tools (Jira)

Nice to have

• Experience with data engineering teams and data pipelines

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with AI tools or frameworks

• AWS certifications

Languages

• English: C1

• Portuguese and/or French: a plus
