We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead for a permanent placement opportunity, to lead and grow a high-performing engineering organisation delivering impactful digital solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, including Software Engineers, Requirements Engineers, Software Architects and UX Designers
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
- Define and implement best practices and standards to ensure high-quality software solutions
- Provide technical leadership to ensure successful project delivery
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and key stakeholders to achieve business objectives
- Ensure all software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance and security
- Manage team resources effectively, including hiring, onboarding, training and performance management
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks to guarantee timely outcomes
- Act as the primary technical point of contact and report regularly to senior management
Your Profile
- Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field (advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus)
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a software engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of modern software development methodologies and practices
- Hands-on technical background with Java, Angular, Spring, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, Git and SQL
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in logistics or supply chain is an advantage
- Good knowledge of English
