What is this challenge about:
- Communicate and implement test approaches and strategies for APIs.
- Understand requirements and raise relevant questions to clarify scope and functionality.
- Contribute to automated test frameworks to verify functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure delivery of products according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot, identify critical bugs, verify reported issues, and determine their root causes.
- Communicate status, progress, and issues to a variety of stakeholders.
- Follow and promote QA best practices within the team.
- Write test approaches for functional testing and exploratory test charters, reporting outcomes clearly.
- Participate in agile team activities, including sprint planning, estimation, and prioritization.

What we are looking for:
- +2 years of professional professional experience in API testing, both manual and automated.
- Strong experience developing automated acceptance tests for APIs using TypeScript (primary) and Java (for legacy systems).
- Experience with BDD and Gherkin techniques for test specification.
- Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control tools.
- Experience working collaboratively in Agile Scrum teams.
- Experience in automation code refactoring.
- CI/CD experience deploying builds (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions; Jenkins knowledge is a plus).
- Experience with AWS services and tools (S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Proficiency using API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, or similar.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting, documentation, and stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to plan, estimate, and manage time effectively within an agile team.
- Living in Braga, Coimbra or Lisbon (hybrid role).
- Fluent level of English.
