Ferring+You You will support building a world-class External Manufacturing Network (EMN) organization, aligned with internal operations to deliver quality, service, cost efficiency, and innovation through strategic CMO partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of assigned Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), ensuring agility, resilience, and global patient access. You will lead cross-functional governance to drive supplier performance, enable issue resolution, and foster continuous improvement in support of company and patient needs. This is a senior level position reporting to a global organization, with international colleagues and managerial oversight out of the Headquarters. Your day at Ferring
- Lead operational performance across the External Manufacturing Network (EMN).
- Head the Operational and Supplier Relationship Teams, empowering cross‑functional experts for strong supplier oversight.
- Align priorities, strategy, and resourcing jointly with the Supplier Relationship Team.
- Oversee CMO S&OP and capacity planning, ensuring balanced external capacity and demand.
- Own and maintain the Long Range Plan for external suppliers in partnership with value stream, R&D, and strategy teams.
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other key functions.
- Ensure transparent flow of operational information, proactively addressing risks across sites and geographies.
- Identify opportunities, resolve challenges within the SRT, and escalate critical issues to EMN leadership as needed.
- Act as the main operational contact for assigned CMOs, tracking KPIs and leading performance governance.
- Monitor production schedules, deviations, CAPAs, and supply risks while driving continuous improvement and strengthening supplier relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech operations, supply chain, or external manufacturing management.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex supplier relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, compliance, and pharmaceutical production processes.
- Experience with performance management tools, dashboards, and digital reporting.
